Hello Visitor, welcome to 17mm!
On this webiste I will talk about photography and mostly about my steps in the Micro Four Thirds world. I have been using Canon SLR camera’s for many years. Analog and digital. But last year I decided to sell all my Canon gear and after doing some research I bought an Olympus PEN E-P5 and a 17mm f1.8 prime lens. The 17mm is one of my favorite lenses. That is also why I used 17mm as the name for this blog. Just recently I added some new lenses to my kit. All primes. The new 25mm f1.8 lens, 45mm f1.8 lens and the 60mm f2.8 macro lens. At the moment I mostly use my Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II.
In Holland mirroless camera’s, like the Micro Four Thirds from Olympus and Panasonic, are not very popular. People still think that you have to use a big DSLR to get the best results. And most camera stores and brands keep that myth alive. For me the most important requirement was to have a small camera that I can easily take with me. And I should be able change lenses. There were also many other requirements. That is why I choose for the Micro Four Thirds system. Both the camera and lenses are small. But still deliver very good image quality.
On this weblog I will mostly post the photo’s that I have made. Hope you like them and see you back some times
