Construction

Yesterday when I went back home after visiting my parents I stopped at the railroad bridge to have a look the construction work. There is still a lot to do. But they expect to have it finished in a few months time.

When I was looking I thought it would be fun to make a panorama of it. I grabbed my camera and made 7 photo’s. Today I used Photoshop to make a panorama out of them.

Did the final post processing in Lightroom.

Lest we forget!

This week marks the end of World War II 70 years ago. Today I visited the War Cemetery Jonkerbos. It is one smaller ones but still has around 1500 graves. Most of the fallen soldiers came from the United Kingdom.

Every time it shocks me when I see the age of these brave men. Most of them are between the age of 18 and 25. I cannot imagine how it must have been like to be send to war at the age of 18. To fight in another country. Knowing that there is a big chance you will never go back.

I am grateful that those men came to fight for us. To fight for our freedom!

More water

More water

Near my city the government started a big project a few years ago. The aim of the project is to give the river more room when the water levels are high. For that they are digging a a canal next to river. Normal the dutch turn water into land. But this time it is the opposite.
The whole project will be finished next year. Then the other side where I grew up as a little boy will look very different.

Picture was taken a few weeks ago. Only processed it today. Processed in Lightroom 6 and did the finishing touches in On1 Perfect Effects

Today I was playing a bit with Olympus Capture to do some tethered shooting. It was fun to play with it and control the camera from the computer. It certainly is a useful tool for shooting in a studio.

But I was a bit disappointed to see that the HiRes mode from the E-M5MarkII is not supported. I guess that Olympus will at that support in a later version. I am using version 1.0.1.

This image is one of the test shots.

Raw file edited in Olympus Viewer 3, then exported to Photoshop and Topaz Clarity.
